The Ultimate List of HR Indicators for Workforce Demographics & Organizational Structure


In 2016, I published the ultimate list of HR performance indicators. In 2020, I did it again with an even more comprehensive version. And guess what? In 2025, I’m doing it again! Why? Because, clearly, you love lists!

Over the years, our blog posts on HR performance indicators have remained among the most read. So, I thought, “If you love lists, why not give you one that refreshes all the previous ones?” In the coming weeks, we’ll be publishing several lists covering key HR domains. Today, we’re starting with HR indicators to measure your workforce demographics and organizational structure. 

Of course, HR analytics is much more than just a collection of indicators. But the fact that so many HR professionals are still searching for THE list proves one thing: we are still in the early stages of widespread HR analytics adoption in organizations.

So, here’s a new series of blog posts on HR indicators: a 2025 version that’s even more exhaustive, relevant, and tailored to today’s challenges. No complex formulas or lengthy definitions—just a mega-list to inspire and structure your thinking.
